Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has announced Dr. Olayide Adelami, a former Clerk at the National Assembly, as his nominee for the position of Ondo State Deputy Governor. Dr. Adelami, hailing from Owo local government area and a kinsman of the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, has had his nomination forwarded to the state House of Assembly for approval. The official announcement of his nomination is anticipated later today, as conveyed in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Ebenezer Adeniyan.
Governor Aiyedatiwa had previously dissolved the State Executive Council, including relieving all Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants of their duties. The Chief Press Secretary’s statement outlined that this action would take immediate effect, with all cabinet members instructed to hand over their responsibilities to the Permanent Secretaries or the most senior administrative officers in their respective offices.
