A support group, Youths for Atiku Political Group (YOFA) backing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has endorsed another presidential candidate.
In a statement released on Tuesday, YOFA said it has now decided to back Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, hence it’s name has now changed to Youths for Peter Obi (YOPO).
The group, in it’s statement, said that it decided to back the LP flag bearer because he and his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, “are young, diverse, competent, energetic, kind-hearted.”
YOPO insisted that the duo have what it takes to deal decisively with Nigeria’s current issues and challenges.
“Mr. Peter Obi, 61, the candidate of the Labour Party, is and remains our endorsed candidate and will enjoy the free online and offline support of this structure,” the group said.
