Senatorial Candidate of the Labour Party, Victor Umeh, has said that the Labour Party’s flag bearer and former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, doesn’t necessarily need a Presidential Campaign Team to win the upcoming presidential general election in 2023.
According to Victor Umeh, the apparent delay in constituting the Labour Party’s Presidential Campaign Council is deliberate, stressing that the party’s leadership is taking its time to ensure that the best campaign team is formed, which will take up the responsibility of ensuring the party’s victory in 2023, said they will not do because others are doing.
Victor Umeh made this known while addressing newsmen at Awka, Anambra State, on Friday, 30th September 2022, shortly after receiving award from Ohanaeze Ndigbo at the Igbo Day celebration.
The Labour Party’s Senatorial Candidate described the citizens of the country as the Labour Party’s Campaign Team, having taken over the project and mobilising support for the party out of willingness and desperation to change Nigeria’s narrative for good.
