ASUU has revealed its next action few hours after court’s judgement. The National Industrial Court’s directive for ASUU to return to work will be discussed at a meeting of the union’s leadership. This will be called by National President of ASUU, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke.
Recall that the Federal Government had asked a court to order ASUU to end its seven-month strike in a lawsuit.
“We will inform you when we meet and discuss the ruling and other pertinent issues,” the union reportedly told Bellnewsonline.com on Wednesday.
The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, has characterized the court’s decision to allow ASUU to resume operations while the dispute involving it and the Federal Government is being handled as a win-win scenario for all parties involved.
However, the Federal Government must not view the decision as a win over ASUU, Comrade Usman Barambu, the National President of NANS, told Vanguard on Wednesday.
