The Nzuko Ora Nnewi Town Hall a project started by the former administration keeps collapsing for various reasons that will soon be made public by bellnewsonline.com
Recall that the ongoing town Hall which collapsed today for the second time is the brain child of the Nnewi born former industrialist and manufacturer now turned politician.
This noble idea which was birthed in the inception of the administration of Hon. Ugochukwu Udemezue started facing challenges from the choice of location in which all effort to address it proved abortive as Uruagu Nnewi Community laid claim to the Agbo Edo Awammili as personal property.
Though bellnewsonline.com just found out that most part of the said land has white paper and can better be addressed as public property despite the fact it originally belongs to Okpuno Uruagu, Okpuno Eze and Okpuno Egbu in part.
The Nnewi Town Hall which was later moved to Nnewi North LGA headquarters in Umudim Nnewi appears to be constructed with substandard materials and the attention of ndi Nnewi was first drawn to the building by Hon. Charles Nwonye when it first collapsed in 2019. Following the controversy, the engineer quickly patched the collapsed building, but the administration of ex-Gov. Willie Mmaduaburochukwu Obiano stopped funding the project on grounds of suspected misappropriation.
Now that the building has collapsed the second time, bellnewsonline.com is set to investigate the cause of the repeated collapse of same structure from womb to tomb.
