According to a report by Nation, the former president and presidential aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has appealed to the major opposition party presidential aspirants ahead of the primary election that the presidential ticket is not a do or die affair, only one person would emerged as the winner.
He noted that all the party members who has declared their candidacy are suitable and qualified to represent the party at the 2023 presidential election, and he pleaded with the party members to support and collectively work for the success of the party, by backing whoever become the party flag bearer.
He urged the PDP presidential aspirants to collectively work for the success of the party after the primary, because the party cannot afford to lose to the All Progressives Congress (APC), again. He, therefore, called on members of the party to unite to wrestle power from the ruling party and take the PDP from the bottom to the top.
