The Nnewi Concerned Citizens (NCC) platform home and abroad has emerged not as a mere organization, but as a gravitational force—a relentless, unstoppable movement strategically in motion to dismantle the structures of corruption that have held our town hostage. This will be very different because many people are angry.
In just a few short weeks, the NCC has achieved what years of silent resentment could not. We have begun the process of systemic unmasking. The “assumed leaders” who once walked with the arrogance of untouchables are now living in the shadow of fear.
When the light of accountability is turned on, those who thrive in the dark have nowhere to hide.
Controversies are swirling because the truth is finally being spoken aloud. The masks of philanthropy and leadership are being stripped away to reveal the hollow greed beneath.
This is only the beginning. Every hidden ledger, every embezzled resource, and every deceptive contract will be brought into the piercing light of public scrutiny.🤌
The NCC is here to enforce a new intellectual and moral standard for leadership. We are ending the cycles that have stunted our growth:
• The End of the Professional Jobless: We are closing the gates to those who see political or community leadership as a “job” because they have no other means of livelihood. If you cannot manage a business or a career, you have no business managing the destiny of Nnewi.
• The Rejection of “Stomach Infrastructure”: The era of buying the dignity of delegates with a plate of food or a few notes is over. Our future is not for sale to the highest bidder.
• The End of Intimidation: For years, Nnewi indigenes were arrested and harassed for the crime of speaking the truth. We declare today that the handcuffs of tyranny are broken.
You cannot arrest an entire movement; you cannot jail the truth.
Nnewi Concerned Citizens home and abroad is powered by a uniform velocity of purpose. We are not just angry; we are organized. The NCC, comprising brilliant minds home and abroad, is demanding a forensic auditing of past and present administrations.
Accountability is not an option,it is a debt owed to the people. We are instituting a culture where elected leaders must account for every kobo and every project. If the figures do not align with the reality on the ground, there will be consequences. We are moving from a state of blindfolded followership to intellectual vigilance and policy watch on all four quaters of Nnewi.
The strength of Nnewi has always been its balance. The NCC remains the ultimate guardian of the rotational agreement that has maintained peace between our four quarters for decades.
