The former Deputy Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly and ex Chairman Nnewi North LGA, Hon. Prince Chukwudi Orizu has given reasons why he left the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) for the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Fielding questions from Pressmen who came to cover the event shortly after the decampment ceremony, Prince Chukwudi Orizu who is the son of the Igwe Nnewi, stated that he left because he wanted to change. In his words:
“The only thing constant in life is change and you can only glow by having a change in life. If you have studied in class 1, you must change to enter class 2 and if you have completed SSS, you must change to enter the University. I’m changing in order to enter another phase of my political career.”
Asked what happened, he replied:
“Nothing happened between APGA and me. Before I left APGA,I was a big Stakeholder, but I decided to work for my Principal, Mr. Peter Obi. He was the Governor when I was the Deputy Speaker.

If you forget your source,it means you are not learned. So I have to remember the man I started with and I don’t want to do any anti party activities with APGA.”
On the insinuation that he left APGA because of the way the Governor disregarded his father’s position concerning the forthcoming Nnewi North LGA election, he debunked that saying that the Governor might have acted based on the information at his disposal but all he knows is that his father is a man of truth, Hear him:””
I’m a Politician and Politicians can always do whatever they want to do, but I know what Igwe has gone through in Nnewi and what is presently happening.
What I can say is that Igwe will always speak the truth, it’s up to you to accept it or not. In any case, Igwe has his life to live and I have my life as a Politician to live. I repeat that the reason why I left APGA is because of change. And change is the only thing constant in life and in politics. My leaving APGA has nothing to do with Nnewi North politics please. “”
