The Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate in the 2025 Anambra State governorship election, Chief Dr. George Moghalu has used the occasion of Easter to call on Nigerians to rededicate themselves to the service of God and humanity.
He made the call while speaking to some journalists on Saturday, April 4 in his country home, Uruagu, Nnewi.
Moghalu wished Nigerians a beautiful Easter celebration, urging them to do a lot of soul searching to be able to understand what Easter stands for.
He further urged them to be their brother’s keeper for them to manifest the attributes of Easter in their lives, ensuring that the peace of God reigns.
“I use this opportunity to appeal for peace in the entire nation and in our state, Anambra particularly. Let us do whatever we can to be our brother’s keeper and to extend love.
“Jesus died that we may live.He bore our sins and manifested extreme love. Let us also see as persons to what extent we can manifest those attributes of Christ, to what extent we can be our brother’s keeper, to what extent we can love our neighbour, be faithful and loyal, and to what extent we can demonstrate our Christian faith in practical terms” he emphasized.
He pleaded that they should pray for everybody in authority especially at this difficult time, urging them to extend the love to the downtrodden to make their environment a better place.
To all his supporters, Moghalu thanked them for their confidence in him and the love the demonstrated during the 2025 governorship election, appealing to them to give all the support they can to the government of the day because according to him, their prayer is that the government should succeed for the benefit of their people.
He disclosed for the benefit of mankind, he would continue to serve humanity at all levels, devoting more attention to community service, serving humanity through his foundation, Zimuzo Development Foundation.
“I am doing the best I can for the people as far as it is within my capacity.For me, I am devoting my attention most importantly to serve God because I know that power is sacred trust giving by God to humanity for the benefit of humanity” he further stressed.
