The Order of the Knights of St. Mulumba Nigeria, Onitsha Metropolitan Council has elevated 53 of her members to the 3rd degree of the Order.
The admission ceremony cum investiture led by the Onitsha Metro Grand Knight, Sir Hon. Jude Mbaegbu and Worthy President LSM Onitsha Metro, Lady Prof. Constance Okoli was held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity Cathedral, Onitsha, Anambra with a holy mass by the Onitsha Metro Chaplain, Rev. Father George Adimike.

In delivering homily, Rev. Fr. Adimike called on the new elevated members to go out there and bring back scattered Christians that dwell in darkness to light.

He said they are called to be witnesses of Christ and not obstacles.
“They have been given authority to witness more. God comes to us through mediation, they should serve as mediators and agents to bring back scattered children of God to light” he maintained.

Sir Jude Mbaegbu, the KSM Onitsha Metro Grand Knight, in his address after the investiture ceremony of the new 3rd degree knights and Ladies called on the new honoured knights to maintain discipline in all ramifications.
He implored them to continue to show discipline in all they do and be role models by setting an example in their conduct.
Lady Prof. Constance Okoli, Onitsha Metro Lady President while speaking said the members were being elevated to 3rd degree in the Order of KSM, adding to whom much is given much is expected.
“It is expected that they have to move up in terms of their spiritual life to make positive contributions to the society using their 3 T’s which is talent, time and treasure” she explained.
She furthermore disclosed that KSM is a family order, the knights and Ladies work together in unison, reaffirming that the Order remained a brand, “there is something different from others”.
Hon. Sir Norbert Okoli, the Worthy Deputy Metro Grand Knight admonished the elevated members to follow others that have been there before them, emphasing that KSM is a brand which people are looking up to.
“We expect them to always make us proud, having been elevated to this honour, something different must come out of them” he urged.
He described the 3rd degree as a third position in the Order.
“You start with the first degree which you will stay for three or four years, before attaining to second degree which you must stay for seven years, then you attain the 3rd degree after four years, then the fourth degree which is the highest degree in the Order, which you must have been in the Order for more than 15 years ” he stated.
Brother Hugo Anosike Metro PRO, described the elevation as mark of responsibility, maturity and growth of the church, urging the elevated members to be witnesses as the Priest said in his sermon, representing what they are because KSM according to him is a brand.
Sir Chief Godwin Oguejiofor, Sir Attanasius Nwaigwe, Sister Obiefule Peace among other elevated members expressed their gratitude to God Almighty for the privilege given them to serve more, saying they are committed in bringing the goodness to their homes and spreading it to the world at large.
