The chairmanship candidate for Abuja Municipal Area Council in the Saturday, February 21, Federal Capital Territory Council election, Moses Paul has issued a strong warning to the FCT minister, Nyesom Wike.

Paul popularly referred to as Dr Mo, issued the warning to the minister while speaking to some of his supporters and residents of Abuja.

According to the AMAC chairmanship candidate, manipulation of election results within the FCT would not be tolerated.

He also noted that, in the forthcoming FCT council polls, the will of the people must count.

Highlighting some areas where the people within the capital territory showed strength with their votes, Paul said he has been offered all manner of incentives.

He said, “In terms of protecting the votes, Senator Kingibe is there as Senator, Obika Joshua is there so our votes do count.

“We came out in 2023, I led a protest here for 23 days, I was in DSS, I was offered all kinds of things and I was angry, so I walked out of the place,” Paul said.

He further urged the FCT minister to allow the people exercise their civic rights by staying away from meddling in the electoral process across the territory.

He also stated that the residents of the FCT are eager for good governance which translates to positive change in all aspects.

“Of course, our votes do count, the minister… this is not Obia-Akpor, you can’t write votes in AMAC. He cannot, somebody should tell the minister that Dr Mo says that, the will of the people will count.

“On Saturday, there’s going to be a new AMAC, where boldness, objectivity, decisiveness and fearlessness will take Centre stage.

“Enough of people dying, enough of poverty, enough brigandage, we own this city, Wike does not own the city. The city belongs to the people, the sovereign masses and the young people listening to me,” Paul added.
