UMUDIM HAS KILLED ZONING IN NNEWI. Prof. OBI NWOSU

A renowned Community Leader and Consultant with Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital Nnewi has stated that with the selection of Echezona Anazodo as the APGA Chairmansip Candidate for Nnewi North Local Government Council, Umudim Quarter has finally killed the age long political Zoning System that have kept Nnewi peaceful and united.

He made the statement recently in his office while speaking with Journalists adding that the State Government made a wonderful thing by insisting on two years tenure for the Local Government Council Chairmen because, according to Prof. Nwosu, two years is enough for any serious and focused chairman to achieve a lot, but sadly, when it came to Nnewi North the Governor decided to make it four years showing bias, pointing to the fact that the Governor maybe paying Nnewi back for the sins of their late son Ifeanyi Ubah who before his death was a well known sworn enemy of the governor.

Prof Nwosu who is the Chief Medical Director of CHIMEX HOSPITAL , further disclosed that Umudim before now has been appointed twice as Transition Chairman for Nnewi North, while Uruagu was there once but Nnewichi as a quarter hasn’t been there for once and now that it is their turn Umudim in conjunction with APGA have succeed in taking it away from them, due to their selfish political interest.

He also accused the BOT chairman of being bias in the way he handled the issue because he is from Umudim, just like the three Presidents General of Uruagu, Otolo and Umudim,who are all one way or the other connected to the Council and were bent on protecting their political and financial interest.

He declared as unacceptable and a great insult the way and manner the letter written by lgwe Nnewi to the Governor, especially the counter letter written by Obi Umudim who is just an Obi not recognized by the state government., Prof Nwosu warned that the present situation in Nnewi remains a big blow to the development and progress of Nnewi town.
