DISREGARD THE COMMUNIQUE FROM THE BOT CHAIRMAN ITS A DELIBERATE ATTEMPT TO UNDERMINE IGWE NNEWI AND NNEWICHI COMMUNITY
1. In syllogism if any part of the premise is false, then the conclusion must be false. This relates to a recent document circulating which emanated from Nzukoa Nnewi BoT stating a purported resolution which has been noted to have been founded on falsehood and teleguides by interested parties. Coming after Igwe Nnewi has spoken on the matter and restored peace in Nnewi.
2. As terminus ad quo, let it be on record that I personally called the BOT chairman to advise him to appraise his steps in this matter to avoid being misled noting that the BOT is a guiding force and consciousness of Nzukora at periods like this.He never picked my calls or returned them till this hour.
2b. Let it also be on record that no paragraph of the constitution of Nzuko Ora Nnewi empowered the BoT to pass resolutions on behalf of Nnewi. Guided by this position, the BOT Chairman should honourably exhibit to Ndi Nnewi the paragraphs in the constition of Nzukora Nnewi where he derived his power to pass such sensitive resolutions without the approval of the Nzuko Ora Nnewi General Meeting of 255 delegates.
3. The first claim in the communique is false , because no clause in the 1997 constitution that said Local Government Chairman and other elective offices is 4 years. Please let him tell us the clause he quoted and publish same for pur perusal.
3b. The claim that the document presented by NNEWICHI is false can only be substantiated by the BoT Chairman providing his own signed copy of the 1997 approved and adopted agreements on rotation and tenor of elective positions in Nnewi stating a 4 year tenor. He is at liberty to reveal and publish such clause if it ever exists for our perusal and conviction. However, if he said is what they have in mind, the Chairman, late Sen. Onyeabo Obi stepped it down, because he knows too well that its wrong to attach number of years that makes up a tenor for government elective offices.
4. The other claim in the communique that Hon. Amobi Chikwendu spent four years as Local Government chairman is still another falsehood as we all know its three years. We are also aware that no local government chairman serves a single term of 4yrs in the entire nation. So one wonders where the Chairman adopted his rule. Who exactly served 4 years in Nnewi.
4b. Let it also be on record that the number of years Amobi Chikwendu spent is as provided by the state Government and no local government chairman has gone for reelection since 1997 in Nnewi. Let the BoT provide any claim to the contrary. Thats why you cannot in Nnewi adjust House of Assembly to 3 years or 6 years, that will be exercise in futility.
5. The communique imposed decisions of the meeting to those that attended the meeting by not providing columns for them to sign, because they know its falsehood and parties that do not agree will not sign. Thus, its clearly an imposition and angainst the interest of peace and mutual respect. For any document to pass as Nnewi document, it must be dully signed by the four quarters. Let the BoT provide any resolution of Nnewi not signed by the four quarters. Thus, the curculated resolution contained only signature from Umudim and Otolo.
5b The BoT Chairman should present to Ndi Nnewi, an instance when any of the Obi’s in Nnewi staged a walkout because he and his subjects are being marginalized and fabricated resolutions are passed behind him as retaliatory action.When Obi Nnewichi staged a work out, its enough grounds to dismiss and reconvene, but because theres a teleguided template, no time was given to further address the issue.
6. My present response to the BoT Chairman and his cacophony of false narratives is born out of the fact that he has shown disdain and disrespect for the Nnewi throne. How can one explain the fact that our dear Igwe was not part of the BOT organised meeting and who after 24hrs later made a pronouncement on the tenor and rotation issue in line with the truth and documents available, yet the BoT Chairman deceided to embarrass the throne by releasing a pre written false communique that is obviously self saving without due consultation with Igwe. Latin adage says, “sacra sacra tradata sunt”, meaning sacred things must be treated as sacred. How can a 100 years old monarch be this DISREGARDED. Mmadu anozikwa na Nnewi?
7. Meanwhile, few BOT members who even in the face of tyranny against the Nnewi ichi people are querrying their cynosure for not waiting for 4yrs afterall they have nothing to lose. However. A throw back to those for such a censure is -what would have Umudim lost if they waited for 4 yrs for Rt.Hon. Chukwudi Orizu to go for a second term in which he was already marked for speakership in the Anambra State house of Assembly. Yet Umudim vehemently refused and insisted on their tenor. A position the entire Nnewi agreed based on the 1997 agreement. This same agreement is being trashed today due to personal and devilish interest of a few.
The same BoT Chairman from Umudim made Nnewi lose Speakership, because of Umudim people and today he is asking Nnewichi what they will lose because his quarter is involved. Let him quickly tell us what Nnewi will lose if his brother from Umudim steps aside for the interest of peace and mutual co-existence. Especially, when people like Chuef Ernest Obiora stepped aside after 1 year 7 months not upto two years. And the entire Otolo sacrificed their first round of House of Assembly to Umudim with Nelly Ikeotuonye going for only 7 months.
7b. Based on the Umudim precedent above, the BOT Chairman needs to clearly and unambiguously enumerate to Ndi Nnewi, the various GAINS ( both Economical and Infrastructure) OUR PEOPLE WILL DERIVE IF HIS BROTHER ,THE CURRENT MAYOR GOES FOR A SECOND TERM that will tower above the existing peace, harmony and tranquility that presently Nnewi enjoys. Secondly, on the back of this he needs to further affirm that Nnewichi do not have credible persons with sound minds to vie for the Chairmanship position now that it is their turn.
8. I strongly advise as the political leader of Nnewi North Constituency that the BoT withdraw the misleading resolution and tender unreserved apology to Igwe Nnewi and the entire Nnewi community . In a more civilized society the person will willfully resign for deliberate attempt to twist the law to favour his clan.
8b. Safe a parallel document is tendered by the BoT Chairman as evidence to back up his resolution, he should advice his brother to step aside as Rt. Hon. Chukwudi Orizu did in the interest of peace and mutual co-existence in Nnewi.
8c Nnewi must set up a committee with proper terms of reference to go and review the Nnewi rotation and zonning formular bearing in mind that they can only add second tenure and do not have legislative competence to say the number of years in a tenure, as that is prelogative of Government. The said resolution can only be enforced when each zoned office must have gone round. Anything outside this, is clear invitation to anarchy.
9. I have the authority to make this statement because I’ve been elected to represent Nnewi’s interest and safeguard key institutions ,with Igwe Nnewi being my top priority. HE shouldn’t be disrespected just because some individuals are pursuing their own self-serving and egocentric agenda.
Nota Bene: No private son of Nnewi will be allowed to override Igwe Nnewi under my watch. Therefore, you are directed to withdraw this false and undermining publication immediately, in the interest of peace and mutual co-existence.
