‘My Father’s Secretary Had Too Much Power In Presidency’ – Buhari’s Daughter Reveals

The daughter of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, Fatima, has asserted that her father’s secretary, Tunde Sabiu, had too much influence in the presidency during his service.

Bellnews reports that Tunde Sabiu, Buhari’s nephew, was reportedly close to him during his administration.

Sabiu is reportedly the brain behind the naira redesign policy prior to the 2023 general elections.

Fatima, in a post on Tuesday via her 𝕏, claimed that Sabiu had so much power in the presidency.

She wrote, “My father’s former private secretary, Tunde Sabiu, had too much power during Buhari’s presidency.”

Reacting to the post, an 𝕏 user, Ahmad Sadeeq, slammed her, stating that she is using her father’s name to chase clout.

Sadeeq wrote, “You are using Buhari’s family name to chase clout. Allow him and his family to rest abeg.”

Meanwhile, former First Lady, Aisha Buhari, has disclosed that her late husband, was vulnerable to scheming and manipulation by his extended relatives.

She disclosed this in the biography, From Soldier to Statesman: The Legacy of Muhammadu Buhari, authored by Charles Omole.

The former First Lady disclosed that old friends and extended family members of the late former President exploited his weaknesses.

According to Buhari, her late husband was deeply fond of his extended family members and old friends, a disposition they allegedly took advantage of.
