Unknown gunmen have abducted a serving member of the Plateau State House of Assembly representing Pankshin South Constituency.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred late Sunday night when heavily armed men invaded the lawmaker’s residence in the Dong community, Jos North Local Government Area.
The gunmen reportedly broke into the house and whisked him away before security operatives could intervene.
As of the time of filing this report, neither the Plateau State Police Command nor the State Assembly leadership has issued an official statement on the abduction.
It also remains unclear whether the kidnappers have contacted the victim’s family or made any ransom demands.
