In other to collect that for proper oversight and ensure effective representation of Nnewi traders in Anambra State Government, the member Representing Nnewi North Constituency Anambra State House of Assembly Hon. Augustine Onyekachukwu Ike-Ikedoji KSJI PhD_inview have set up a committe that will help the office carry out her oversight functions and educate the traders in Nnewi North Constituency on the provisions of the laws of Anambra State vis-a-vis the right of traders.
In his inaugural speech, the Honourable Member Representing Nnewi North Constituency told traders that the essence of them coming to Nkwo Nnewi is to provide for themselves food, shelter and clothing.
He stressed that this body is going to work with the office to help educate traders on their rights as enshrined in the constitution of Nigeria and the laws made by Anambra State Government. For example, he told them that any revenue in Anambra State must be collected electronically or not collected at all.
He encouraged them to supply informations on what is happening inside market to the Constituency Office in other to help checkmate any form of abuses traders in Nnewi maybe exposed to due to lack of knowledge of the laws of Anambra State and their rights as traders.
He urge them to keep supporting the Government of Anambra State and its always ONE STATE, ONE PEOPLE AND ONE AGENDA
