A Major Political Stakeholder in Nigeria and Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Eugene Okuchukwu Okonkwo Nwisugbe a.k.a. Anyanwu Igbonine, has thrown his political weight behind the candidature of Mr. Dozie Ikedife in the forthcoming Senatorial Bye-Election.
He made this clear during an exclusive interview with a Select Group of Journalists at one of the branches of his company around Umuenem Area of Otolo Nnewi.
He regretted that Nnewi lost an Illustrious son in the person of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and so it would only be proper for an Nnewi man to complete his tenure.
He lamented that one Mr. Kamen from Ihembosi and former Media Aide to The late Senator is presently playing the politics of my “”Master is no more alive, so I want to be the Master.”
“In his words: He’s trying to pull the structure of Ifeanyi Ubah to back up his brother, Chief Seahorse Onunkwo who is contesting under APGA. But I can assure you that they have failed, even before they started. Ifeanyi Ubah died in APC and we will rather have an Aspirant from APC take over the mantle. And such a person, for the purpose of justice, equity and fair play, should come from Nnewi to complete the tenure of our late brother.”
He continued : “”Any of Ifeanyi Ubah’s member or follower that leaves APC to work for another Party is working against the Spirit of Ifeanyi Ubah. From all ramifications, you can see that the person the cap fits is no one else but Chief Dozie Ikedife, Ikenga Nnewi.He has been a member of the APC even before Ifeanyi Ubah joined. He has been a National Officer of the Party for a long time. He is very bright, smart and educated. He can face any audience and express himself eloquently and audibly. For me, I think he will make a good and effective Senator of The Federal Republic Of Nigeria. I’m appealing to every right thinking person in the Senatorial District to join forces together in other to deliver Chief Dozie Ikedife Ikenga Nnewi as a replacement for Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.
