Fogdev, a prominent digital skills training provider, has successfully concluded its Remote Work Program 1.0, empowering 1,000 beneficiaries with the knowledge and skills essential for thriving in the remote work landscape. Sponsored by Access Bank, the program was conducted in batches of 100 beneficiaries, each undergoing five days of intensive training aimed at equipping individuals with the necessary skills to secure remote work opportunities.
The training modules covered a diverse range of essential skills, including CV and Portfolio Writing, Interview Preparation, Digital Tools for Remote Work, and Remote Job Search Strategies. Fogdev’s Director, Ekundayo Ayeni, highlighted that beneficiaries learned how to craft compelling CVs and portfolios to effectively showcase their skills and experience to potential employers. The program also covered crucial digital tools such as productivity apps, communication platforms, and project management tools.
Ayeni commended Access Bank for their unwavering support and sponsorship, which played a pivotal role in realizing the initiative. He emphasized that beneficiaries gained valuable insights into facing job interviews, mastering common interview questions, projecting confidence, and demonstrating expertise. The program equipped participants with effective strategies for finding remote work opportunities, including accessing online job boards, utilizing professional networking platforms, and leveraging social media for job hunting.
In addition to the training, beneficiaries were provided access to a curated list of 1,000 websites where they could apply for remote jobs globally. This valuable resource opened up a plethora of opportunities for individuals to connect with potential employers and explore remote work options.
