In an interview with Prosper Mmaobodo, a 47-year-old roof installer and member of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), he shared his experience and commitment to the church. Prosper, who serves as an usher, narrated his healing journey in 2000 after suffering from epileptic attacks. Despite initial skepticism due to rumors about Prophet TB Joshua, Prosper decided to visit the church for healing.
Prosper recounted that during the prayer session at SCOAN, Prophet TB Joshua declared everyone free in Jesus’ name. While the healing was gradual, Prosper eventually overcame epilepsy. He did not provide a medical report, believing the condition was spiritual. The healing process began within the same week, and Prosper testified to his recovery before the following Sunday.
The interview highlighted that Prosper did not visit the hospital for confirmation, as he believed in his spiritual healing. He praised the church for its encouragement and counseling sessions, fostering faith in God’s gradual intervention.
When asked about leaving the church after Prophet TB Joshua’s death, Prosper emphasized that the late pastor had encouraged personal spiritual growth, and he stayed at SCOAN because of the messages and teachings that brought him closer to God. Prosper’s family also attends the church with him.
Regarding accusations against Prophet TB Joshua by some ex-disciples, Prosper chose not to engage, stating that silence is the best response. He mentioned instances where individuals who spoke against the prophet had done things leading to their departure from the church. Despite these challenges, Prosper expressed his commitment to SCOAN, emphasizing the positive impact it had on his life and spiritual journey.
