In an extraordinary showcase of skill and determination, 16-year-old Luke Littler continues to stun the darts world at the PDC World Darts Championship. Littler achieved a remarkable victory over Rob Cross with a commanding score of 6-2, propelling him into the championship final.
This debut on the world stage has been nothing short of exceptional for Littler, who now prepares to face Luke Humphries in the final. Humphries secured his place with a convincing 6-0 win over Scott Williams.
Littler’s triumph not only secures his spot in the final but also adds an impressive £200,000 to his earnings. Making history, he becomes the youngest individual to reach the final in the championship’s history, surpassing the record set by Kirk Shepherd in 2008 at 21 years and 88 days old.
Expressing his disbelief, Littler said, “It is crazy to even think I am in the final on my debut.” He added, “I was happy to win one game, and now I can go all the way. It’s not easy. You are playing Rob, he is a world champion who won on debut. I’ve got no words.”
When asked about his preparation for Wednesday’s final, Littler shared his routine, saying, “I’ll be doing what I’ve been doing. In the morning I’ll go for my ham and cheese omelette and then come here, have a pizza and then prep on the board. That is what I’ve done every day.”
