There was fighting at the Imo State Collation Centre in Owerri, the state capital, on Sunday as party agents protested the results of the Orsu Local Government Area (LGA) election.
They described the results as “manufactured.”
The aggrieved party agents argued that no election was held in Orsu LGA and alleged that the results were falsified. They demanded that the results be cancelled.
During the argument, a visibly upset Labour Party agent stood up in protest and was attacked by unidentified individuals who whisked him away from the collation center.
Bellnews gathered that the state Returning Officer for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Abayomi Fashina, insisted that the collation would continue after order was restored.
