Youths in the Panseke area of Abeokuta have taken to the streets to demand justice for the death of popular musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, who died last week at the age of 27.
Bellnews reports that the youths, on Tuesday, gathered in large numbers at the skating ground arena in Abeokuta, wearing black and carrying placards with inscriptions such as #JusticeForMohbad and #WhoOffLight.
Mohbad was a former signee of Marlian Records, owned by Afeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley. However, many people, especially on social media, have singled out Naira Marley as the reason for Mohbad’s death.
The Lagos State Police Command, on Monday, inaugurated a 13-man special investigation team to probe the death of the singer.
Lagos State Commissioner of Police Idowu Owohunwa said, “Do not forget, we have unique access with INTERPOL. Everybody linked to it (the death of Mohbad) will be identified and they will be brought to establish their level of involvement.”
