As the May 29 inauguration approaches, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has packed his belongings from his official residence at the Aso Rock Villa.
Bellnewsonline.com reports that this is aimed at making way for the incoming vice president, who will be officially inaugurated in just 48 hours.
In a notable gesture of goodwill, Osinbajo recently took Kashim Shettima, his successor, on a comprehensive familiarisation tour of the presidential villa.
Following the tour on Thursday, Shettima expressed his appreciation to Osinbajo for his courtesy in personally showing him around the various offices.
With the inauguration on the horizon, the federal government had on Friday announced that Monday would be observed as a public holiday, allowing citizens across the nation to watch the historic event and celebrate the dawn of a new administration.
