The Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, has criticized Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, for failing to speak out against comments made by his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed.
Bellnewsonline.com reports that Mohammed accused Baba-Ahmed of making inciting comments on national television and claimed that Obi did not condemn them.
Speaking to reporters after a Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, the minister accused Obi of treason and explained why he faulted him during his recent trip to the United States.
“What I said about Mr. Peter Obi is very clear,” he said
“I said Mr Peter Obi has every right to seek redress in court like Labour Party, but nobody has the right to call for insurrection or to threaten to say that if the President-elect is sworn in, that will be the end of democracy.”
