The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike has assured Nigerians that terrorism and banditry would soon become a thing of the past.
Speaking on Thursday at the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, the Minister said the President BolaTinubu-led administration is committed to the safety of every Nigerian.
He stated that the president is on top of his game on the issue of security while assuring that the challenge is being handled with the required resources.
He said the president is ensuring that all security agencies and their personnel receive the proper training and financing needed to combat crime at all levels.
Citing President Tinubu’s approval for the recruitment of forest guards across states of the country, the Minister said Nigeria would soon become too hot for terrorists and bandits.
“Put simply, the era of banditry and terrorism would soon come to an end,” Wike said.
In addition, Wike said that Tinubu following the boldness he showcased in the removal of fuel subsidy has tackled every possible consequence.
“Today, our states have far more resources to develop, the debts are no longer piling and the price of petrol is gradually but steadily adjusting downwards in tandem with the forces of demand and supply and the strict implementation of regulatory conditionalities,” he added.
