Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has said he is aspiring for the presidency “because I know the way”.
Bellnewsonline.com reports that Tinubu stated this on Friday at the State House Banquet Hall, Abuja, during the unveiling of his campaign policy document and the inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council by President Muhammadu Buhari.
“I seek to become the next president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria because I know the way. My experience and past performance assure that. It will be through collective effort and national endeavour that we join hands, cross divides, and achieve our vision.
“I ask you to join Senator Kashim Shettima and I on this journey,” Tinubu said.
Tinubu, 70, is a former governor of Lagos State, and the immediate past National Leader of the APC. He is one of the frontline candidates in respect of the 2023 election.
