The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has dismissed an allegation that it is “working for” the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and its presidential candidate for the 2023 election, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Bellnewsonline.com reports that a supposed pro-Peter Obi Twitter handle had claimed that the NNPP and its presidential flag-bearer, Rabiu Kwankwaso, “will unleash their support for the APC soon”.
Obi is the presidential candidate of the Labour Party and had made efforts to work with Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State. However, the two presidential candidates could not agree on who will be the running mate, thus, causing Obi to opt for Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed and Kwankwaso to pick Bishop Issac Idahosa.
